I've had zero problems rolling many different nos tubes in my Candela.
Perhaps a call to Klaus at Odyssey will shed some light as to why yours is noisy...

Issues with Tube Rolling an Odyssey Candela
Question for you tube guys. I recently went from a Primaluna integrated amp to Odyssey separates. The Candela preamp comes with JJ Audio tubes and they are dead quiet. However, when I try to roll in my NOS Cifte or the Primaluna brand 12au7's, they are super noisy (static/electrical noise). Any idea why? All my pre tubes were quiet in my Primaluna.
