Is there a correct way to lubricate a turntable bearing

This is from TTW Audio - pots of people ask about turntable bearings

Many have asked about cleaning the OILITE bearings here is how, its a good guide for most bearings of a similar style - expect for the flushing pin that is specific to our .500 inch diameter bearings shafts

I assume that this method will work with a sintered bronze bushing, correct?  Is your flushing pin the same diameter as the platter’s male bearing?

The only way to add or remove oil from sintered bronze is with heat. If the oil is actually seeping into the bronze at room temp it's not any kind of industrial application, I've ever seen. Must be very porous or laser holes. I've made my share and repaired/replaced a lot of pocket bushing.

I remover the old and use a hand reamer after I press or drive the new one in..

Sometime I use hot water and speed.

You see the MT5’s magnetic main bearing (with its ceramic shaft), which mirrors the design used on our reference Clearaudio Innovation Wood turntable.

In this clever engineering, there is minimal contact between the top and lower sections of the bearing, limiting noise levels.
