is anybody else a kluz and constantly shorting amp

how exactly is it that you manage to constantly short your amp?

If you turn power off on your amps, indeed all of your gear before touching cables/interconnects, and double/triple check that your speaker cables are properly attached before turning power back on, there shouldn't be an issue.

As for amps that are impervious, I think some have protective circuits that do this, but I'm not sure which amps have them.

McIntosh and Lamm are two that I have personally witnessed being constantly shorted and they handled it just fine.

The McIntosh even kept putting some music out, though it was kind of garbled, while sparks were zapping the shorting bar! Then the bar was removed and beautiful music came through without ever stopping. A most impressive show!
