is a carver pm 1.5 amp compatible with a ct 27v pr

i might have hurt my preamp after adding a pm 1.5 2 my ct 27v and super tfm 35x. preamp will cut out at higher volumes. the pm 1.5 seems 2 draw so much from the preamp and cuts out. i just bought the pm 1.5 and i believe something is not correct with the current draw needed from the preamp(gotta crank it) 2 get some sound out of it.even now with the 1.5 removed, the preamp cuts out, clicks, then shuts off momentarily. it never did anything of the sort til i hooked up the 1.5. any ideas?
