If you were a Castaway on the BBC Radio 4 Desert Island Discs what music would you have?

Mine would be Wouldn't It Be Nice by the Beach Boys, Don't you Forget About Me - Simple Minds, Jump - Van Halen, Beatles Penny Lane, Somehow Somewhere by Michael W Smith & Amy Grant, Handel's Entrance of the Queen of Sheba.

Liking some music or people is one thing, marrying her and living without end with them is i am afraid a completely different matter ...

And now you know why it is that we don't live forever. It would be intolerable.
It is impossible to listen to something for ever without beginning to be bored to death....

Except Bach Cantatas, or well tempered Klavier....

Even Mozart or Beethoven will not do....

It takes variety and choices.... I love Chet Baker and Bill Evans and i will add them to Bach to own a minimal variety....
And for some weirdness either LP or CD versions of Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica! Hand out the blotter acid!
Wire's Pink Flag on the Restless Records CD. This I just recently listened to on the JVC N310 DVD player (24 bit DAC). Holy F*ck!
Plus CD's of the first three Jimi Hendrix recordings! The MCA releases will do just fine!
Gergiev's LSO CD/SACD box set of the Mahler symphonies! "A symphony should be the World"- Gustav Mahler
Great answer, I think after a month I too would want to have an airplane to take me home.!!
I would want several large reel to reel tapes, strong commercial 1" width, plastic hubs that float, many battery christmas candles, many boxes of sparklers, duct tape, so I could make some floating bouys at night to hopefully be seen by airplanes, oil tankers, cruise ships, single female billionaire's yachts, and then hum Beatles 'Help'.
