As long as the jumper is there they are connected to each other and it does not matter which terminal top or bottom you want to use.
I should know these two things, but....
Speakers with two pos/neg, like this:

Neg op of rcvr > black spkr pole

Do I do this horizontally, or vertically? Or does it matter?
And if there is one l/r op from the rcvr, do I make use of the other two poles somehow?
