Hugh Masekela

First, A nice "shout out" to the "Li' Best Jazz Album" thread. That was very nice. The mention of Manu Katche towards the end reminded me of this artist who I've enjoyed over the past couple years. I particularly enjoy his albums "Grrr" and "Home Is Where The Music Is."

Hugh is awesome.

I saw him live once, very small club NYC, about 30 people fit + band on stage. Totally terrific. I spoke to Hugh, told him he was the worlds best horn player, he took a step back, looked up, said 'careful, there's a ghost of Louis Armstrong'. Great smile.
