How would a vintage Boulder 500AE compare to modern equivalents?

I have one of the above, a Boulder 500AE. I'm not sure how old it is as I got it second hand. No work has ever been done to it and it still sounds okay.
But, I am curious to know your thoughts on how it would compare to a modern power amp, and do you think there would be any point in replacing its capacitors?
