How to re-wire broken CMOC connectors and Mark Levinson CMOC receptacle

My big puppy got behind my equipment.  Now wires have been broken inside three of the CMOC connectors to my Mark Levinson No. 23 pre-amp.  I took one pair to a the local dealer who I bought this equipment from 20+ years ago.
He did re-solder and establish line continuity but could not get the collar back together with the body of the connector.  Then I discovered that two more of the CMOCs connecting to the pre-amp were also either broken or highly positional.  One of the CMOCs with broken wire is attached to cables that run in the wall from an ADCOM Radio Receiver PreAmp.  Is this something I can repair with a soldering iron and limited experience?  Did he fail to trim back the covering and shielding enough?
Oh, and one of the CMOC main line level out channel receptacles on this Mark Levinson pre-amp was also broken (positional loud buzz or no sound at all.  I read horror stories about repairing these vintage Mark Levinsons.  This would seem to be a simple repair.  Should I try to find someone with better skills locally in my city of 600,000 or send it somewhere?  Dare I open the pre-amp myself a try to fix it?
