I've been into this thing since the mid 70's! I love my music and relaxing to listen to my collection of vinyl. I'm in the Daytona Beach area and there are actually two really high end shops the Ormond Beach area just up the road from me. One of them is my main go to guy. Super place to hang out and all around great owner. All of the times I have been there, however, I have never met another "local" music lover. I know they have to be here, but they all must keep to themselves.
How to find local audiophiles
I was wondering how you find others blessed (or afflicted) with the audiophile bug in your local area. If you live in a major metro area, I know there are clubs or audio stores that can make connections. I live in Lexington, Ky., and I haven't heard of a club. Surprisingly, for a city this size, not really high end audio stores specializing in two channel gear. It might be nice to exchange thoughts with like minded people face to face.
