@ted_denney  I've had my share of arguments with Ethan but here he's conducted and experiment in the service of an argument. I was hoping for a discussion of the experiment, the argument, perhaps the larger issue. Instead, you attack him personally. Your ad hominem reflects badly on you and I suggest you delete it.

Good video. Ethan Winer is always a voice worth listening to.

So as often in audio, it’s a question of application. Shielding is important when it comes to applications like cartridges and guitars, but maybe not so much for RCA cables.

Certainly not in my experience either.

I’d love to see Ethan revisit the contentious subject of speaker isolation/decoupling as it’s been some time and we’ve seen further developments since then.
