You have know what the target is first to have a chance to hit it.

I can't agree more. I should know what I have which might hurt me later. The sound impacts the human health more than we know. And it's natural to avoid the bad sound (too many systems and speakers hurt our ears). 

The pursuit of best sound is relative and knowing what's available is essential. Comparing the sound of mine to other systems is a easy way to do so.

The audio companies must make the better sound equipment. Their sounds are stuck for last 100 years and the sound is actually getting worse in my opinion. Listen to TV and radio music. All new songs and recordings are tipped up and sterile sounding that I lose interest in few seconds. When I turn on the radio news, I must careful and select certain better sound station cos some stations sound hurt my ears.

My system is absolutely the cleanest sound system (most refined) and I'm still trying to improve it knowing how important my work is for the future of all sound products. So, I can enjoy distortion/veil free recordings and smooth/clean sound radios. Alex/Wavetouch audio

So many people struggles with audio sounds for their lives. Life time upgrade, merry-go-round, without a promise of better sound and numerous disappointments should be changed by now after 150 audio history.

The world is filled with bad sounds which we must deal with every days such as bad sound radio stations, cell phone spkr, etc. Consider why many non-a’philes, spouses, and hi-fi haters don’t like this hobby. I believe I’m a frontier for the true meaningfully better sound. And you won’t lose any thing with my discovery/journey.  Alex/Wavetouch audio

Ignore soundstage/imaging/separation.  These are not comparable unless close-up micing is used and even then the playback equipment may not support it for what it is in the room.

Where did the bass go??? Where did the harmonics go? Why does it now sound "boxed in" and not open?

The purpose of hi-end audio is recreating the original music. My system recreates the orig music faithfully. My room isn't recording studio. So, my video includes the sound of my room (with minimal acoustic treatment).

My system consists same simple gears at shows and at home for videos. The Show 2021  Microphones in my recording are 6ft from speakers. You can see in this which I speak and record music non-stop. 

Where the bass go? My speakers woofer is 5.25" and goes down to 44hz (-6db) and I like it. When I want more bass, a sub can be added easily - 2024 audio show (w/sub). 

Sound boxed in? Not open? - my system sounds the most neutral, open and cleaner than any system in the world. 

My system's sound-stage and images (especially mid-range) are the most life-like. Compare Wavetouch vs. others below. Every ears are different. You might like different from my liking. Alex/Wavetouch audio

@mihorn   In the YouTube listening exercise laid out in your above post, the recording of the Thiel 3.7 sounds closest to the Original, followed by the recording of the Avantgarde.

Indeed, Thiel and AG are very good. And I hope you like Wavetouch too at fraction of their price, size and constraints. I won't argue here which is closer to the original and pleasant to listen to. Everyone has his opinion. Let's back to the regular scheduled program. Alex/Wavetouch audio

You might be right. Tho whether dubbed or live recording, Thiel - FINK sounds really grainy and rough. Listen to  Thiel - FINK for 2 minutes. And listen Wavetouch audio - FINK . I can hear WT forever w/out hurting ears.

toddalin   I don’t agree.  I can hear the room.  I can also hear a resonance in the room not on the original.  But it is well treated compared to most..

I said all your audio systems sound veiled and mine doesn’t. All you asked before why non-a’philes don’t like this great hi-fi sound. The truth is they hear veiled hi-fi sounds correctly and we are using veils as immersive sounds.

You’ve been hearing veiled sound forever that you can’t hear my system correctly in 30 seconds. Your ears are too hardened with harsh sounds. Your ears and brain need some times to hear delicate true organic sounds.

At quick listen of un-natural sounds are splendid and stimulus. I know what happens to those sounds. Merry-go-round upgrade. They may sound good for short time but  no satisfaction.

Thiel - FINK is not live-recording. It’s dubbed. I can’t hear his room. Video is very veiled and I thought it’s live, but no. His dubbing mixer creates much glare.

I heard your videos and I don’t need to hear your actual system to get real experience. I’ve been exhibiting my audios >10 years. I heard all exhibiting systems in all other rooms every years. All audio show videos sound signatures are exactly same as what I heard at there.

I know how a good hi-fi system suppose to sound from my experience. It’s the musicality and SQ of audio system to make a listener happy to hear it many hours. Thiel - FINK sounds like scratching a sand paper to me and nobody can listen those sounds for a long time and their spouse (in other room) will bag to get rid of it ASAP. Hey Todd,  Right, I heard your other videos a year ago. I’m hearing your new videos and it sounds much clearer than older videos. Your system sounds better than many (almost all) mega buck systems (>$500k). I admire your finding to make the clearer sound.

All due respect, the right speaker (Eric C voice in your video) sounds bit forward  to my ears (irritation). My suggestion is taking off stuffing (3" x 3") from right spkr (remember how much removed). If my suggestion is rude and unacceptable, I’m very sorry and I apologize. Many pro audio videos are made with cell-phones. I think it'll do just fine. Try it. Alex/WTA

ronboco       I only have my phone to record my system playing so I don’t think it would sound good at all. I could give it a try though.

Amazing! While people switch DACs few times and pay $$$$$ ($260k for a DAC?), 15 years old Oppo-95 sounds this. Again the separate DACs can’t avoid veils and glare (4 extra connectors on d cable destroy delicate d signals). Cheers! Alex/WTA

YT video is a very good tool to tune any audio system close to the original sound. I’ve been exhibiting my system in audio shows >10 years. I heard all other exhibiting systems in all other rooms (>60) every years. All audio show videos sound signatures are exactly same as what I heard at the show. Our brain can compute the situation difference.

My memory can’t remember the small sound difference after each tune of my system. So, I record my system and listen it in my PC. I can hear every small changes from my system. I keep tune my system to sound closer to the original music.

Also, system should sound faithful to the original music which is the best sound. No system can sound better than the original music. If the original music sounds bad to your ears, your ears are too harden from listening harsh audio sounds too long.

The clean sound audio without the veil lets you enjoy the music. The veil between you ears and speakers hurts you the most. When you listen the music, what hits your ears hard is the veil. Not the delicate music behind it. The important delicate music you want to hear is far away behind speakers. Remove the veil to enjoy music.  

The showroom sounds splendid and stimulus at 1st, but your ears get tired and bored soon in quiet night home session. The good sound might be bit soft 1st, but your ears and spouse will appreciate at your home.  Alex/Wavetouch audio

gen2rev   Not proud to admit it, but I think I’m competitive about acquiring sound that makes me happy for the lowest cost. 

Acquiring a good sound system isn't easy and low cost. I heard many (almost all) unlistenable sounding >$500K audio systems. The better sound isn't equal to more money. It's finding the right people who can help you with the sound. They can help you many ways and YT is easiest way to get help. 

People, who are getting into audio or want to upgrade their audio, need some guides or reference to set their target sounds. YT lets them hear the glimpse of what they will get for their investment. 

I'm sure, if A system sounds better than B system in YT video, A system sounds better in real too.  Alex/Wavetouch audio

I think your system sounds very close to the original music. The original music has thick veils already that your videos sound some veils too. In fact, both your systems sound more musical/romantic than original music. Nice!  Alex/WTA

YT video can p-up air and depth fine to me. I made 2 videos. One at 9pm (noisy power) and one at 1am (clean power). Therefore, I always records after midnight.

A nice thing about YouTube is that you can go back and compare other versions of what you’ve been working on as a point of reference.

isellgoodgear  My system’s based the unique and astonishing Audiopax amp with timbre lock.

From A’pax videos below, I see what t-lock sounds like. It seems much reverberation/resonance is removed. The soundstage seems shallow (no depth). Just my impression. Alex/WTA
