I frequently see advertisements for speakers that say there are dents in a driver but it doesn't affect the sound. Considering all the work that goes into the cones, how can that really be true?
Small dents are inconsequential but large ones can certainly degrade the wave launch. Regardless, it’s surprising how many audiophiles manage to put large dents in their speaker cones/domes. Like, respect your gear.
