Hooking up my JL sub

Folks - I need a little help. Trying to figure out best possible way to connect my JL Audio F112 sub to my Marantz AV7005 processor/preamp.
Signal is coming from Benchmark DAC 1 - yes I know it’s a preamp and yes I love the sound directly from it - except that there is no remote volume control and I am lazy.
Passing signal to my Marantz in Pure Direct mode cuts the signal to the subwoofer. Can I use a RCA Y splitter and pass one signal to Marantz and the other to JL audio?

@millercarbon. Thanks BTW. Stupid question: is there a decent grade LOC unit that you recommend? Also, a few I saw online have a bunch of color coded wires sticking out. Which wires connect to the R/L of the amp speaker output.
Great idea. I like that better as the tonal characteristics of the Simauido W5 amplifier is not lost and both the Von Schweikerts VR4 and the sub will be in sync. Do I simply unplug the RCA inputs at the sub and let the XLR input on the mono remain on the sub when I switch Marantz to watch movies?
Quick question while we’re on this topic. Would connecting a sub using an LOC from the power amp not pass the entire range to both the speakers and sub? Would there not be a double bass effect?
Not if you hook up to a preamp that has a crossover adjustment. Last night I played around and was able to shut off all equalization and Audessy setup in Marantz and manually adjust the crossover for the front R/L to 80hz. Also able to adjust the bass delay to 12ms and both my sub and speakers are now singing sweetly. LOC connection does not provide you with this configuration as a matter to fact gives you double bass.
I am still a little confused and any help will be great. Willing to try what @millercarbon suggested. Just got 2 questions:
1. If I connect using LOC most on the market are for car audio and says max RMS 50W. Is that a concern. 2. Once I successfully connect the subs using LOC and adjust the crossover on the sub - can I have another XLR connection from my Marantz AV to use as LFE for movies? Will dual setup work? Thanks

Probably the easiest and best way would be to use either an electronic crossover, or just simply use a y adapter. One end goes to the main amp then speakers, the other goes to sub. You can adjust the sub for the proper low level point,

What’s the y adapter look like? Sorry a noob here. Will this workhttps://www.crutchfield.com/S-DH5rbymUfUX/g_721/Line-Out-Converters.html
@imhififan
Benchmark DAC 1 has both unbalanced and balanced outputs, the unbalanced rca output connect to Marantz AV7005, balanced xlr output connect to JL F112 sub xlr input directly or via a switcher, so no 'y' cable/adapter needed.
That will not work - if Marantz is the preamp the signal will generate from Marantz to the sub.
