Hook Up Question : Harmon Kardon Citation 11 Pre Amp with Citation 12 Amp

Because there is no ON / OFF switch on this amp, I would like to know the correct way to hook it up.....Is it  okay to plug in the HK Amp 12 INTO the HK Pre Amp 11.... which is now plugged into my Furman power strip.

OR....should BOTH / EACH (the Amp and Pre Amp ) be plugged into the Furman Power strip separately?

Please advise.

Some combos do not need a particular turn on/shot off sequence. Some do.

Try it both ways.

Also, does your Furman have switched and un-switched inputs?

If so, you can plug the 12 into a switched input and turn off the Furman to power down the 12 (gear to remain on would be plugged into the un-switched inputs).

Plug them into the power strip separately.
