I let my Bryston amp do the HT passthrough. I connect the balanced cables to the Krell HT processor. The single ended RCA's go to the Luxman CL38U SE preamp. I just hit the switch on the back of the amp. Balanced to the Krell when watching a move and RCA to the Luxman when listening to music. Each source has a straight feed from the amp. I asked James Tanner from Bryston about doing this and he said it was perfectly fine.
