Home-Made Multi-Subwoofer S.W.A.R.M System

I was curious about the Audio Kinesis S.W.A.R.M.  subwoofer system technology.  The whole multiple subwoofer idea rather than one big monster subwoofer.  I'd heard about it for years but never made a move on it.  A couple of months back, Costco had a clearance sale in its stores for a Klipsch R-120SWi 12 inch subwoofer for $99 bucks each.  I wasn't in the market for a subwoofer, but at that price I could go buy myself a sack-full of those subs and give the SWARM technology a run at home....especially with Costco's insanely liberal return policy.  I bought three of those subwoofers...the bass and low frequency effects are AMAZING in my home theater now.  I just use these three Klipsch subs with no other subwoofers.

Go to my system page and look at the size of my room...and I seriously doubt that your room is a large as mine is.  My intent was to buy six or eight of these subs....no more, three of them completely fill my room with amazing bass for home theater.  Last week these subs were on sale at Costco for $250...today they are on sale for $200 until June 22nd.

You will need at least two of them....three if you have the room.

...and no, I don't think they'll do much for 2-channel music listening, but they are a home-run for home theater.  Besides, there is zero risk.  If you don't like them, you can return them to your local Costco for a full refund.

My HT is all Klipsch speakers including 2 subs. Yes, they do fill the room, gain is set to like 3. They go deep, and make a lot of noise, explosions are grand! However, they are on the boomy side for music. Would use them for dance music, but not critical listing. My HT setup was never for music, never mind being critical.

For $100, you can not do better! I did see some cheap Klipsch subs there with BT remote adapters. I know that would help me in my room to be able to place the subs anywhere and not need 50ft cords to them!
