HK Citation XX and XXP Pre / Power

Newby here, Considering purchasing a HK citation XX and XXP pre and power amps from about the 83era. I understand these were a significant amps in there day, but how do they honestly compare today and how are they for parts ? Does anybody have any experience with these legends, I would appreciate any feedback you’re able to provide.

They are ancient history with 40 year old parts skip it.

Unfortunately, you’re right. I think it’s the romance of owning a legend but the reality is parts are difficult and there are equivalent sounding amps with far greater reliability. Thanks for the advice
