聖HIJIRI Users thread

Based on a discussion with another forum member, I've been reading up on this Comback Corporation brand. The reviews I've found have been pretty positive, but I've also learned over the years to take all reviews with a grain of salt. So the purpose of this thread is for users to share their input on 聖HIJIRI cables. When you share, if you'd discuss what model of HIJIRI you demoed and what brands/models they were compared to, that'd be very helpful.

A little background: a few years ago I was reading the Audio Envy threads and decided to give them a try as the seemed to compete with much higher-priced cable.  So I decided to give AE a try. I found both the $179 P2 and the $279 M3 to easily best an Isotek power cord at $1k. So that got me thinking even more about value products. I was about to give Zavfino a try and then was given another recommendation to give HIJIRI a try. So this is how I got here. I'll be very interested to hear all user comments on HIJIRI and this should be a good repository for the brand.

Thanks for the review and comparison of the Hijiri SM2R-L.  I am contemplating upgrading up from the Nogami on my Int amp only.  The Takumi sounds wonderful on my A200.  I think it offers more natural ease and fluidity compared to the Nogami.  Will the Hijiri SM2R-L deliver this improvement? Also find the bass more powerful.

Yes,  Hijiri power cords still in use in my whole system replacing my DIY Helix builds.  Love them! I am also using Hijiri speaker cables.

Also love Tchernov Ultimate USB and IC cables!

Yes, I have a 20 amp Hijiri Nogami power cord from my wall outlet to my Puritan 156. I liked it more than the $800 Puritan cord in my system. It works wonderfully for me and my system.

I also have the Nogami on my amp, dac and server.

No worries as Hijiri cables are not characterized by an overly warm or syrupy sound.  They are naturally revealing and in my experience not really favoring any particular part of the sound spectrum.  Best to contact Colin of Gestalt Audio Design and simply try for yourself.  Nothing beats actual experience with a product in your own system!

I use Hijiri HCS 25. They are perfectly balanced top to bottom. I especially like how they set the stage just a tad back compared to many speaker cables that sound a tad forward and forced to my ears.

I use the Nagomi power cords throughout my system and the Hijiri HCS speaker cables. Liked the Tchernov Ultimate USB and ICs in my system when  paired with Hijiri. Great combo!

I have compared the two Hijiri ICs.  The HCI is a nice sounding cable as I also have the HCI 10 speaker cables and enjoy them.  However, the Million is just more of everything great about the HCI.  Literally more of everything good from top to bottom. Improved density and realism to boot!

I also like the Tchernov Ultimate Slims ICs and ended up purchasing them for my system.  Just a slightly better choice for my particular system and preferences.  Honestly, all three are great and it may come down to your budget.

I have moved 4 times in the past year and have had to make changes in my system. Based on this, and my crazy life experience over the past year and a half, I have started listing some Hijiri and Tchernov cables for sale. Just one IC and perhaps two Nagomi power cords.

We are settled now and hope to be more active here on Audiogon. Miss reading and posting here a little 🤓

Thanks guys. Should have my system fully set up in the next couple of weeks. I have been without a system for a long time.
