High sensitivity bookshelf speakers to pair with SET amp? Nearfield romanticism.

I am thinking of totally changing my setup to focus on more richness, midrange / tube magic at my nearfield desk setup. Right now I have ARC ref5se into pass x350.8 into ATC SCM7s. It sounds amazing but after I heard my Crack OTL (with black silk hd650) I can't get that incredible euphonic sound out of my head.

So I was thinking of getting a high sensitivity bookshelf speaker that plays well with tube amps and then getting a set power amp or integrated.

Thinking of those omega speakers (super 7 mk2). Any thoughts on this strategy or recommendations ? Thx

Klipsch Heresy’s on a very sturdy shelf. No bass though! They roll off at 65hz. Excessively bright highs because of the EV horn tweeter. SET tube amps are only good for use with headphones. I have three: a 45, a 2A3 and a 6BG4 (1.75, 3.5 and 6 watts respectively). All the high- sensitivity speakers (EV, Klipsch, Lowther, Volti, Zu) are way too colored in sound!

Stick with your ARC/Pass/ATC system! Keep the Crack for use with your phones. No SET amp can equal the Pass amp for driving real world speakers!
