I have installed a whole house surge protector last year. I believe that it protects surge that comes from the outside power line. But it does not help if the surge is from within your home (start-stop of fridge, aHVAC unit, washing machines, etc). My power amp is direct to the wall, which is a 20A dedicated power line. Folks,
I just had a sudden power outage while my expensive audiophile system was running.
It really gave me the scare of my life thinking of the aftermath.
Would you folks know of a good protector of high powered amps?
