Yo2tup...thanks for the reply..that does make sense but, as you say, 'different sound...but not always for the better'..

i have added my 5th HD3 pc to my system and the synergy is very apparent.all aspects of the sound have improved..will be stopping with 5.at their price point my guess is that they aren't many better.

joncourage and joeyboynj....i might be selling 2 of the HD3 pcs in the near future. i am probably going to be selling my preamp ..which uses 2 of the HD3 pcs...i should know this in about a week or so..they are both < 3 mos old and were bought from Robt.they are 2m each.

yoby..i am not replacing the HD3's . i am going to sell my preamp and take my PWD and the dCS puccini i will buy directly into my amps ..bypassing the preamp..the HD3's are very good ...

Powder...i still have the HD3's on my amps..i actually have decided to have my preamp ugraded to the next level and will be buying another HD3 1.5m pc as i now have only 1 left except the 2 on the amps..

Sabai....what do you mean by 'swapped'?..do you mean changed and if so how difficult is it to 'swap' them ?..

Sabai..if all you do is replace the terminations what is responsible for the improvement in sound..?..just wondering as i am not that electrically inclined..thanks

Sabai..you didn't answer my question. let me try again..HOW/WHY does just changing the terminations of a powercord make a big difference,,?..i am not questioning the change..just wanting to know what causes the change,,i will assure you that MY system is very 'evolved'..
