HI End Dual Layer DVD player

Computer dvd players can burn dual layer blank dvd's. This is not a surprise to anyone anymore. But can old and/or new dvd players read those computer dual layer disc?

Thanks

Yes, there are many newer players that can read DL writable disks (my Denon 2900 and 3930ci do it), but don't cheap out on media. As far as I can tell there are two kinds of DL blanks out there - Verbatim and no-good junk.
I don't know for sure, but I would bet that most DVD players that can read DVD-R/RW media can read these as well. I do know that my cheap Sony entry level DVD player (DVPNS-55B (?)) states specifically that it will play DVD-R/RW Dual Layer media. My previous player, a Toshiba from 1999, could not read any DVD-R/RW media, so of course, not the DL media, either.
