Henry Fogel

I am a neighbor of Mr Fogel.  He is a fascinating storyteller.

Mr. Fogel is a pillar of the community. If you wouldn't mind could you ask Mr. Fogel to post the details of his sound system? I'd be fascinated although he probably considers the gear to be inconsequential. Like many music collectors.

I know him from the Furtwangler newsgroup where he generously shared his vast knowledge. He has a complete collection of Furtwangler recordings which means multiple issues of the same recording. On LP and CD. For any recording he can tell you the best version.

And his collection is not limited to Furtwangler.

He was on a list serv group that I participated in, back in the AOL days.  We had gotten into a discussion about the then Music Director of the CSO and when we discovered that we were neighbors we met for breakfast.  He has fascinating stories.  I still email him occasionally.  I joined a club in Oak Park where he gives a biannual presentation, so I’m looking forward to that
