Help with Audience "The ONE"

Hi,
I bought a pair of Audience "The ONE" bookshelf speakers. My setup is simple and my space is small; I play mostly classical, rock, country and jazz from the desktop system. And I am currently using the speakers with PS Sprout. My previous speakers (Elac B6s) were much more musical ... and although the "ONEs" were clearly more elaborate, I know they were also less rich. Will another desktop integrated amp perform better? Peachtree, maybe? I want to spend under a thousand dollars. My financial situation is not that good. and i must say the footprint must be small. Also, the sound of these speakers can be just like that, and no integrated amplifier can "solve" the problem.
I would be glad if you help.

The Ones seem to have a tipped up midrange and treble - no change in amp will really fix that problem. Hopefully you can move back to the B6s. If you can't, then using EQ if you have that option would probably be the next best thing. Try cutting the response down in the problem areas to get the sound back into balance.
