Depends on your volume level requirements and the efficiency of your speakers. I did drive a pair of Thiel 3.6's with a Premier 11a for a while before moving to a CJ MF2500A. The bass response was more defined with the 2500A,however, I was very satisfied with the mid to high end detail of the 11a. So you will have to be the judge. You are going to, in all likely hood, suffer in the bass response.
