Help---What happens when a tube

Hello all--

I just came back home and notived my MHZS 66 CD player was off--Power was on! I have had the CD player on for almost a month to break it in!
Do not have extra tubes on hand yet!

Is this what happens when a 12AX7 tube blows? I am oalmost off my 30-day
trial of this player and may just have to send it back--?

Any thoughts----
Thanks,
Bob

I agree with Lak. Though instead of just turning off the unit for a few minutes
unplug it from the wall outlet for a few minutes. Even with the unit turned off, the unit maybe in standby mode, a microprocessor may be locked upped. Had any large static electricity discharge from your body to the CDP? Any lightning storms?
Disconnecting the plug from the wall outlet may reset it.... Worth a try.
