Help! Is there standardization in i2s?

I2S is an electrical specification, not a mechanical/physical one. Vendors using it outside their box normally turn it (I2S is single-ended) into an LVDS set of differential signals. The allocation of those signals to physical pins in the HDMI connector is different between vendors.

Really, No standard, What year are we in??? I2s has been around quite awhile. Someone better get working on that 😤 

As I understand it, I2S has no standardization, only proprietary implementations.  That seems not likely to change in the marketplace.
