Has anyone else bought the new HMS Gran Finale SL
Category: Cables
I have had some of the best power cords going, even 2 of HMS's top before this one and this one is beyond those. I have had the Elrod S3, Electra Glide Fatman K & G. Kahn, Virtual Dynamics Nite, Cardas Golden Ref. and a few others and this one is without a doubt the best to me. No glare, even when I first plugged it in and it is smooth as silk. The music is very relaxed, but detailed with all the ranges (lows, mids and highs) opened up. Hans must have burnt this one in because I have never heard any cable this smooth and detailed out of the gate. It will be interesting to see how this one continues.
Please do not get me wrong all of the before mentioned cables are very good, but to be safe they need protection and that kills the sound most of the time and HMS cords do not.
System:
200 watt solid state I built (with kitchen sink included)
Esoteric DV-50 DVD
Rogue 99 Mag. preamp (pearl tube coolers - very nice)
Soundstring speaker and 1 rca cables
HMS rca
HMS 3 power cables
Cardas Golden Ref. power cable
made my own speakers
Titanic II 10" sub (250watt)
