Has Anyone Compared the DAC On a Bluesound NODE 3rd Gen to a Separate DAC?

The Gen 3 NODE has an upgraded DAC. Just wondering what differences there might be in a separate DAC.

Nice, but they don’t match." Poor analogy in this case. Based on your existing room and equipment, I'd bet you hear a significant improvement with either DAC you mention.

ARES II will provide a significant upgrade to the Node's built-in DAC. Only problem, it's just the starting point to the next DAC upgrade and the one after that :-) At least is was for me.
