Unfortunately, this doesn't meet your criteria for recent, although the recording quality is very good and the performance is spine tingling - Bernstein in Berlin - Ode to Freedom recorded on Christmas Day in 1989. This recording was made only a couple of months after the the Berlin Wall was pulled down, and is tough to match for emotional intensity. He changed "Ode to Joy" to "Ode to Freedom" in celebration of that event. As I said, not recent but definitely worth a listen. Deutsche Grammophon - 429 861-2
