Great Cables ... That Get Little Attention

I have had the HiDiamond XLR 2 interconnects in my system for 2 days. They are simply stunning. I have never heard any other interconnects that do what the HiDiamonds do to bring the emotion and aliveness into my system -- or any other system I have ever auditioned over the years. Words cannot do justice to these interconnects -- right out of the box without break-in.

HiDiamond is a company that gets little attention. They are an Italian company so this is understandable. Have you had a similar experience with unsung cables from an obscure company?

Please note I am not in the audio business and have no association with any audio company -- other than being a customer.

I had contacted Worldwide Wholesales and was talking to a fellow by the name of Bob Neill about buying the USB cable. Then, because of this forum, I contacted Tailored Tech. and told him I would rather buy from him as I could use my cc and not have to send international money order or whatever WW wanted. He sent me a few emails about the price I was quoted from WW, how to pay, and what to do. Then suddenly he emailed me and told me he couldn't sell them to me and to disregard his emails, etc. I emailed and told him that was a strange way to do business and they should take them off of their website if they couldn't sell them. I tried to contact WW again but they haven't responded to my email. Very strange. I don't think I want to do business with this company. They either don't know how to conduct business or their's something shady going on. Hopefully, it's just poor business procedures.

So, how much are these HiDiamond cables anyway??

Telescope_trade, I asked the same question early in this thread. As of yet, no one has responded.
Something seemed odd to me too about this worldwide company. Not sure what it was but I have decided to go elsewhere for my cables. Perhaps it is the lack of representation (I went once to audio oasis and didn't get the feeling it was a store for high end products or anything for me, perhaps I am wrong this is just my opinion). What product are you getting instead SMW? I am leaning toward Ocellia or Signal cables. Recently heard of a Canadian brand with a name that was similar to Honda (can't remember the exact name), anyone know what I'm talking about? If so, any feedback?
Foster 9 & SMw30,

Hmmm...yea, there are a lot of great cables out there. I think I will steer clear of the HiDiamonds. What Smw
say's brings back a lot of bad memories with other company's.
Not saying anything is wrong but!?!?...just a bad vibe!
Smw30yahoocom, please be advised that Worldwide Wholesales did email you several times in regard to your purchase. We clearly explained that Tailored Technology cannot sell out of California and that you would need to deal directly with Worldwide Wholesales. Here is a copy of our last email to you; Date: Friday, April 20, 2012, 11:49 AM
Hi Sandra,

We can either accept Paypal at 4% surcharge or E-money transfer with no surcharge. Both payments are attached to the email address and for a password on the E-money we could use "sandra".

Sandra we did contact you in regards to your purchase 7 times and every one of your emails were responded to within 20 minutes in a very professional manner.

Cheers,
This was also another email sent to Smw30yahoocom

Hi Sandra,

We have received a copy of your email from our store in California and a copy of your email from HiDiamond in Italy with your address;

Sandra Wells

Spokane, Wa. 99208

We have only been setting up a dealer network for HiDiamond cable in NA for 2 months and there is no store in your area as of yet. Tailored Technology is only allowed to sell HiDiamond cables in California and therefore if you would like to buy the HiDiamond USB as per our email on Friday April 20th we could sell the cable directly you. We will also let you know when we open a store in your area.

Cheers,
I have received excellent service from Robert Neill at Worldwide Wholesales. He is one of the very best people I have ever dealt with in the audio business. Not a hint of a bad vibe anywhere, anytime. I think there is more than meets the eye with these stories. They sound very suspicious to me.
Smw30yahoocom,
Worldwide Wholesales accepts PayPal. Your story does not ring true to me after my experience with this HiDiamond dealer.
Sabai, what did you compare your HIdiamond cables with?, did you buy their power cords called diamond 3. Robert from Worldwide sales(looks like a nice guy and very responsive) praises the Hidiamond cables saying they (especially power cords 3) bested the Kubala Sosna Elation. He also made a statement that I should get rid of my purist aduio Provectus ICs and Scs and Wireworld platinum electra power cables and buy Hidiamond cables because they are much better. Is that possible that the Hidiamond cables that good or it is another hype?
Musicallyinclined, we are sorry that you were not comfortable with Oasis Audio because they have been in business for over 10 years and George the owner has over 30 years of audio experience. If you live in the GTA area I would be happy to drive to your place and perhaps we could swap out your current cables for HiDiamond demo cables. I also wanted to mention that here is my personal feedback on Canuck Audio under my name; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/userfeedback.php?user_id=11656
We also have a great website with many testimonials; http://www.worldwidewholesales.com/shop/
HiDiamond cables are a very well respected Italian cable manufacturer in Europe and Asia. Hidiamond has only started to be marketed in NA for a little over 2 months and the name recognition will slowly develop as we exhibit at trade shows like Newport in June; http://www.theshownewport.com/2012/hidiamond.html
In my opinion HiDiamond will continue to develop a strong following just from word of mouth. I would suggest that you have a listen and again I would be happy to help you in any way.
I just got an email from Bob Neill at WW and he said he had emailed me a number of times telling me that they don't sell cables outside of California through Tailored Tech. It's odd that I got the other emails they sent and don't seem to have a problem with my other emails, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and believe them that they sent they did send me the emails and I never got them. As far as the email above that they said they sent, I did not get that one. Sabai, I think you should know a little more about the situation before you tell me basically that I'm lying. What I find odd about this situation is that Tailored Tech. said they would be glad to sell me the cables, and after a few emails about how to do it and needing my address, etc., they emailed me and said they cannot sell them to me, to disregard all emails that were sent back and forth. I wrote him that I thought it was a strange way to do business and they need to take the product off their website if they can't sell me these. He wrote me back that he was considering all options and that's the last I heard from T.T. Then I proceeded to write to WW and told him what happened with T. T. and that I thought it was a strange way to do business. I never heard from WW again until after I posted on this site. I do not have a paypal account, that's why I wanted to buy from the U.S., I assumed you could just use a credit card. Anyway, I'm sure WW is a legitimate business and they are above board. I just think Tailored Tech. should have known they couldn't sell out of California or at least posted it on their website.
I just got an email from Bob at WW and he is going to send me a cable. He is trying to rectify this situation and is very concerned about custumer service and is trying to do what's right. I think the whole thing stems from lack of communication, not receiving my emails from them, and, as I stated earlier, will give them the benefit of the doubt. Bob seems to be a very forthright person and I think about it. So anybody wanting to do business with them shouldn't worry about it, I think they are a legitimate business and will take care of customers just fine. I still think Tailored Tech. should post on their website though about not selling to anybody except California, I still don't understand that but it's their option to sell where they want.
Some of my response was cut out of the above post, I don't know what happened, it must have been me!! Anyway, I don't think anybody needs to worry about doing business with this company, I'm sure they're just fine, and after I receive the cables, I will let everyone know how they sound. Sandra
I'm still not convinced. Some of these small distributors scare me in the way they do business. Sandra, I think they are scrambling for your $$$! That said, this is just my opinion. Perhaps if there were more actual retailers selling the cables WW would not have to worry about each individual who shows interest in the products!
In my book, you are either a manufacturer (which isn't the case with WW), a distributor or a retailer. It seems to me that WW wants to do both! Perhaps there is more profit in doing this than in selling to stores. I wonder.
Buying directly from WW should logically mean that the price should be LESS than in a retail environment. No? This, by the way, should be true of ANY distributor that sells directly to the end users.
Is this what you found Sandra? Or is he selling to you at the same price as T.T. would of? Just curious.
Smw30yahoocom,
There was obviously a misunderstanding because of missed communication. This did not ring true to me because my dealings with Robert Neill of Worldwide Wholesales have been totally professional in all respects -- especially customer service.

Denon1,
I have not tried the HiDiamond power cords yet. I have their interconnects and speaker cables. Their digital cable is on the way. I compared their cables with Synergistic Research, ASI Liveline, Cardas and others. What Robert Neill says is totally true -- not a hint of exaggeration or hype. These are by far the best cables I have ever had in my system. And, to my ears (that were recently tested and came through with flying colors), they easily surpass any high end cables I have ever auditioned anywhere. I am a very happy customer.

Musicrover,
The price from Worldwide Wholesales is lower than any high end cables I have ever owned -- shockingly reasonable. I don't know how they do it. For me, trying them out was a no-brainer and I could not be happier with my decision. Just ask him for a price list.
Hi Musically, I do think their cables are reasonably priced, that's why I became interested in them. Just look at some of the other cable companies prices. There are cheaper ones of course, I'm using my printer cable right now and it sounds fine. That's why I'm anxious to get the cable, I will try it and compare with my cheap printer cable.
Bob at WW quoted me a price and when I contacted TT, Eric (at TT) asked me how much I was quoted. I told him but did wonder what he would have charged me if I hadn't told him. Anyway, I do think most of my problem with them stemmed from miscommunication, at least on WW's part. Not sure why TT can't sell anywhere but California, last time I checked it was still one of our states. Sometimes things just happen so let's all give them the benefit of the doubt as they really seem to care about customer service. I'll be getting the USB cable in about a week and will report back my views. Sandra
Sabai, thank you for the info, did you compare Hidiamonds with higher models of Synergistic research? Robert does not provide with audition (at least this is what he told me) so the only way to find out about them is to ask people who heard them and compared them with other reputable brands and provide with details about comparison and their system. I know it is not enough, but better than statments like “the best cables I have ever had in my system.” So if possible please provide more details about what exactly did you buy (diamonds 7,8,9) and did you compare you cables with and what is your system consist of. This will help a lot to me and I am sure to many others who interested in Hidiamond cables. Thank you!

I intend to place an order for the HD digital xlr cable shortly and I will post back here with both my experience with worldwide as well as how the cable compares to my Appration (a stellar cable itself). If the HD is better, or even as good, that will be a notable achievement.

My initial correspondence with worldwide was professional, responsive and pleasant.
Denon1,
I am comparing with the Diamond 8 speaker cables and the Diamond 2 XLR ICs.

I have had SR Acoustic Reference ICs for a long time with my Merlin speakers -- recommended over the more expensive SR cables because of their no-silver content -- an excellent cable for my system. I have also tested ASI Liveline interconnects and speaker cables -- excellent cables. I have also had Cardas Golden Cross speaker cables with the cold forged spades -- also excellent. I have also used Gabriel Gold interconnects and speaker cables -- also excellent. I have also used lesser cables from other companies.

I use SR Galileo universal speaker cells and various Bybee products. The HiDiamonds are no-brainers compared with any other cables I have had in my system. When I compare with high end systems I have auditioned that had expensive cabling from other companies, the HiDiamonds deliver the best sound I have ever heard. I have not heard all of the high end cables out there but based on my observations of my system and high end systems that were much more expensive than mine I have no desire to go any further.
Telescope_tubes, www.worldwidewholesales os the dfistributor of those cables and have their prices on a webside.

Sabai, thank you very much for more info, it is more helpfull now, but still cables you compare them with are good but not a refference cables like kubala sosna elation/emotion, purist provectus/dominus or wireworld gold/platinum. The Robert claims that the Hidiamonds 7,8 or 9 much better then all of those. I also had ASI liveline (all of them) and gabriel gold reflections, but unfortunatly (for me in my system) they were not even clolse to big buys performance in terms of refinement, linearty and dimentionality. But the Hidiamonds are very interesting, may very well be a great cables.
Another good cables if one get them used, are Fusuon Audio ICs and Pcs, Fusion audio speaker cables are way overpriced so.
There is a price list on the Worldwide Wholesales website. The cables that started this thread are the HiDiamond XLR 2. These are listed at $1300 per pair. I'm not sure that would be considered "shockingly reasonable", or not?

Here is the price list:

Telescope_trade and Musicrover,
There is no secret or mystery about the pricing of HiDiamond cables. All you need to do is contact Robert Neill at Worldwide Wholesales and he will fill you in. That's what I did. Nice and simple. No intrigue.
Mofimadness,
For what they offer you cannot get better value anywhere. IMO. Take a look at some of the other high end prices and compare.
I agree Mofi, but to be fair, what is a "reasonably priced cable"? I am currently looking at other brands which are in the same price range as the ones mentioned at the start of this little exercise. Bottom line, your ears and wallets will decide which ones you get probably as much as the possible synergy within your system. No point in buying $1000 cables if you can't hear the difference, if you can't afford them or if they simply don't "work" with the rest of your components.
I have many friends that are huge audiophiles (or is it audio nuts?) and most of them have spent big bucks on their systems. We all agree to disagree on one thing: the cables! Everyone can make a case for theirs! I will no doubt be touting the merrits of the Ocellia cables!
Perhaps there simply are too many brands out there!

The word "reasonable" used to describe over $1k interconnects is a contradiction to me.

Since there is no price category specified here, I will mention the Onda Systems cables out of Canada. Unknown by the public but yet celebrated especially by well known manufacturers such as Von Schweikert, Vandersteen and Concert Fidelity.
Sbrownnw,
The Mogami may qualify as reasonably priced but it is not in the same league as HiDiamond or other high end cables. IMO.
ONDA! That was the name I was looking for! Thanks Sbrownnw!
Sabai, I must say that you do post the name of your cable repeatedly...are you sure you don't work for them? Don't take it the wrong way, but it does make me wonder whether you are simply trying to get a name out there or if your intentions are true to the idea of these forums.

Sbrownnw, do you know who is selling the Onda cables in Ontario?
yes...i did hear the ONDA at TAVES in September of 2011.
impressed with system performance...pretty high end system that would sound good with even lesser cables...I like the fact that the center pin is part of the signal chain. That is its not part of a connector but the wire itself. The ONDA guys were unwilling to demonstrate lesser cables and quite frankly rude and arrogant. Not worth my time. They even went so far as to denigrate most of the music that people brought to listen to the show. What people listen to is what people listen to.
here are some other brands to consider:

ear to ear, fusion audio and mojo audio.

i own power cables and interconnects from these companies.
@musicallyinclined, I've never heard (of) the cables you were trying to find.

@sabai, I would put the mogami cables up against any cable, bang for buck.
Sorry Sbrownnw, La45 was the person I wanted to thank. You have me curious about the Mogami now! I was going to get some Ocellia cables but I would love to check the Mogami out first. I will do some research and give you the results of my findings.
Glory and Essentialaudio/Brian Walsh worldwide sales rep for Teo (Liquid Cables).

I have stood back for several weeks and listened to you trash talk my company and my clients but enough is enough. Sabai is a client of mine and he has made several purchases of different models of HiDiamond cables. Sabai does not and has never worked in any way, shape or forum for Worldwide Wholesales or me personally and in fact doesn’t even live in Canada. There is no point to twist words or play games. I have never been on this forum under any name except Worldwide Wholesales and my clients are my clients; I prefer clients versus customers. It appears that for some reason you may have a problem with people saying “they enjoy HiDiamond cables “if this is the case than please let us all know why?
