Good speakers less efficient?

I've noted that many of the better speakers are 4 Ohm and not very efficient. What high performance attribute causes this correlation?

There's no correlation between high sensitivity and low sensitivity as it relates to quality. Only the speaker designers idea of what works best. You'll also note most speakers are 86 to 92db sensitive. I'd guess that may cover 90%.
