Good quality SPDIF 75ohm BNC and RCA plugs - which ideally match aesthetically too!
I've been poking around the interweb as I'd like to scratch an itch by making a couple of SPDIF cables of my own to put up against some longstanding incumbents which have RCA on one end and BNC on the other.
Oyaide seem to be universally expensive.
Furutech have a much broader price range and some of the cheaper ones look excellent but for some reason I can't understand there appears to be nothing in common across the design of their RCA and BNC plugs until you get the expensive carbon-fibre stuff. At the last count there were 11 RCA models in different finishes and using either Gold or Rhodium plating, but only 2 BNC models, both Rhodium and they look like they've come from a ompletely different manufacturer!
Are there other brands who make high performance, attractive looking and reasonably priced RCA and BNC plugs?
I'd appreciate plug (not conductor) brand/model suggestions from anyone who has made up their own SPDIF cables.
Thanks.
