good basic sound card

The sound card in my PC has apparently given up the ghost. It is (was?) a Sonic Impact S100. I recall in the past having tried to use it as a preamp into a NAD amp and small speakers, but the level of noise and buzz was pretty horrendous. Good riddance. I'd like to get some advice on a decent replacement - nothing really fancy but would function in a much better capacity than described above. I have a stand-alone CD burner, so that is not a desired option for the PC. For the sake of discussion, let's say a ceiling of $150. Maybe something with RCAs rather than the mini jacks (or both)? I am oblivious to the market. Thanks in advance!

Some suggestions:
M-Audio Audiophile 2496
M-Audio Delta 410
Echo Mia

All more than $150, but not much more.
