Goldstein Acoustics Coherent Imaging Model 10 Speakers – Any Info or Testing Advice?

Dear all,

I hope you're doing well!

This morning I noticed some folks clearing out a nearby house, and while having breakfast, I saw a pair of speakers placed in a “free” pile, each labeled with “FREE” on top. I picked them up about 10 minutes ago and thought they might be useful, as I currently don't have any external speakers in my apartment.

I know very little about speakers or how to test them safely, especially since these came without any wires. We do have a record player at home, so it would be great to try them out if I can figure out what's needed. I'd appreciate any advice on what cables or equipment I’d need to get started and how to avoid damaging anything in the process.

The speakers are labeled:

Goldstein Acoustics
Coherent Imaging Speakers - Model 10
Office: 90 Browne, Brookline, MA
Factory: 21 Bismark Street, Bldg 12, Boston

What's especially intriguing is that I couldn't find any information about the company online...no website, no references, nothing. Has anyone heard of them before?

Also, the speaker fabric has a few small cuts. If anyone has tips on how to repair that, I'd love your input.

Photos below. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

You need an integrated amp to connect the speakers to using some speaker wire/lamp cord. Also a signal source: turntable, radio tuner, CD player, streaming device.
