Goldmund Relief clamp repair?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a Goldmund relief record clamp can be repaired? The brass bushing that clamps onto the spindle has broken two legs. I love the clamp and would like to get it repaired. Any idea's? Already tried the us distributer (not a clue). Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that if the distributer is no help.Then why not bring the clamp to a Machinist in your area and let him suggest a possible repair.

I've had my machinist here in Tucson make new brass bushings for three of those clamps, so he's had plenty of practice ;-)) BTW, the originals are bronze, not brass, which is why they break after awhile (even Goldmund isn't perfect!) Email me and I can tell you how to get in touch with him.

If you want to keep it original, try to get the Relief fixed. But in my experience something like the Clearaudio Twister will do the job just as well.
