I have a rebuilt example of all the GAS gear except Godzilla. The best by a significant margin is the 256wpch. GAS 500. The 80wpch. Son Of Ampzilla is better than the 200wpch. Ampzillas, regardless of which version. I also own a 100/100 Bedini but have owned several different ones over the past 10 years. The GAS gear all have a similar signature as do the Bedinis. I've had the 25/25, 150MKII, 250/250 and as I stated, still own the 100/100. IMO, the GAS gear is a notch above the Bedini. They are faster with more low level resolution/extension, better bottom end/control, livelier mid-range. However, I found the opposite to be true regarding Apfdirtdoctor's take on the Bedinis. IMO, they have a huge sound stage. So much so that you are engulfed in it! Also, I find the top end of the Bedinis lacking in resolution with a little more sibilance than what I would consider acceptable by today's standards. Tonally beautiful but fatiguing when turned up loud. The GAS gear on the other hand have no such issues. Very fast, fine transients. By no means spitty or grainy. Great imaging. Easy to listen to turned up loud. Rebuilt/ upgraded GAS gear rivals anything out there.
