What I have learned is it does little good to save your eardrums only to turn around and abuse them with ht.

recently got a freya plus finally and got volume shocked when switching sources from an avr to a dac source.
have learned volume (or gain) setting on freya for passive should be set to zero before changing to a buffered setting for a dac use.
How do people change back and forth between ht and stereo source to avoid losing an eardrum???
