Fuses in the 3 speed SME PSU

I'll never spend the prices SR charge. But I do agree that fuses make a difference. I tried a $40 Furatech rhodium but it was too bright/steely. 
Try this. I've done it and was amazed at the improvement. 
Wrap a few turns of masking tape around the glass part of the fuse ensuring it does not touch the metal caps. 
Worst case, it may indicate if the PSU responds to fuse adjustments.
