I moved from Infinity Kappa 8.1s to Revel Performa3 M105s and a subwoofer years ago. Not only are the smaller speakers easier to drive, I found it was easier to place them to optimise soundstage and have never looked back.
I much prefer standmounts to a point where my first product introductions have all been standmounts. My wife also prefers the look making my life infinitely easier.
