If you're talking about big floor standers, something valuable and fragile like the 802, I can recommend Craters & Freighters...we used them many times to ship everything from artwork to jukeboxes to pinball machines to rare furniture. They handle it all - insurance, crating, transport, logistics. And their specialty is the big stuff that you don't want to mess with. Speakers are easy for them. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, they've just saved my bacon many times! They are national, and have a facility in Queens that can do national shipping out of NY. Just google them for contact info.

Actually, a friend of mine manufactures speakers here in NY. He uses BAX. If the weight is within what UPS and FedEx accepts, I find that FedEx will pay for something if they break it, but you need to have good records as to the value.

If they are very expensive speakers, another option would be to have the dealer you bought them from ship them for you. They ship stuff like that every day and its much easier for a dealer to process a claim in the event that something happens. I did it this way a couple of times.
