I just downloaded a 12 page service manual from Berners, it shows nothing about physical access. You might ask the eBay seller what his shows.

this one says includes disassembly ...., so, perhaps the eBay one has that also

caution, for old operating systems, work with Newer ones?

You need to open the bottom of the unit.  Personally, I would send it to AC for repair. At least it will be done right.   There isn’t much room in there.
