Wow, alot of assholes like Classical lol |
If its a cough or sneeze you guys need to quit being snobs, especially to the elderly because its not their fault they are older and in poorer health. You guys are the type that gives classical the arrogant pretentious label many attach to the art. Phones, conversations are open game but in a way claps in wrong areas shows 2 things its hard to get mad about, it means appreaciation and growth and with that we can hope strengthening the number of fans, something really needed. If it bugs you people can sneeze (you do know you cant predict that right) or that people at times may cough then stay home. |
I think its just American arrogance. In Europe they celebrate the joy of Classical and I dont think the same strict "code" is there. IMO Classical in America is much more considered an upper crust activity and that crowd is just too often arrogant. |
Its arrogance when folks complain about a sneeze, and lets not pretend some of those women dont where horrible and over used perfume that can make people sneeze to begin with. Its entirely possible a man looks disgustedly backwards at the sneeze yet it was caused by his own wifes perfume. |
They dont complain about how a sneeze ruins the whole show. If a sneeze or a cough ruins your night, you are likely a pretty miserable person. |
If one cough or a sneeze "ruins" a concert than you have way more issues than the accidental human functions you complain about. If its a natural human function its understandable and forgivable, if its a phone, a conversation or other issues of pure choice then those should be dealt with. |
The fact we or anyone is bitching about noise at concerts we attend shows you we have it pretty damn good, grow up guys, it could be worse! |
Oh poor you having your concert ruined by a sneeze or cough, how "boorish" of the public to get in your way of enjoying the concert. Your lucky you can enjoy a show as am I being a season ticket holder for our local sympony but if its accidental noise I dont cry about it. I noted earlier phones and talking are a different story but you guys take it too far. Lets not try to qualify who is and isnt serious about music please. I can see why your bitter being a Browns fan, as I am too. Well now I tell everyone I am not a fan but a victim. :) My point was that if you and I are lucky enough to be able to enjoy regular concerts then life is pretty damn good, do you think people much worse off would sympathize with our "problem"? Cheer up! |
Photon, almost the 100yr mark of those riots. |
Ranting about a cough or a sneeze is taking it too far, they paid for tickets aswell. |
If accidental human functions like a sneeze or cough make you guys this miserable than thats ok by me, suck it up. This has nothing to do talking or phones, if its a unplanned cough or sneeze I am not hateful enough to get bent about it. Cheers |
I just dont have it in me to get mad about unintended noise, life is too good for that pettiness. Some are rude for sure but the sneeze and cough isnt in that spirit. |
Those damn performers breathing, I hate that! Lol |
You guys have such horrible lives, its all so tragic! |
Dont Tp, you will make me sneeze! |
Sorry if I think accidental human functions are not a performance ruining experience. Cheers! |
Never saw it, thats one of those shows I never try to watch but somehow laugh every time I see it. |
Because people like you keep calling me out by name for having a laid back no complaints attitude about sneeze and coughs. |
As long as you decide to attack me personally I have a right to not only reply but to stand by and continue to push my opinions. Im not a dog and wont roll over because you want me to, its obvious I made my point and its obvious you want to continue to stir things up. Whats ironic is your lecturing about not letting something go, try it yourself. |
Ummm, yeah ok thats exactly what I said, if that ends this then so be it, if you need last word insert below. Cheers |
You are 14 years older than me and my suggesting coughs and a accidental sneeze shouldnt ruin a night is far from suggesting everyone is free to do what they want. I noted several times examples of phones and conversations are unacceptable but thats been lost here. Once again its posts directed at me that invite continued participation. |
Mark W. Sounds much closer to my opinion than of those who kept slamming me for trying repeatedly to reason with folks here. I cant help but feel a sort of vindication as this opinion came from the top if the food chain. Cheers |
If they need my shipping info just ask ;) |
There is no substitute for live shows even with all the flaws. The view of the performers, the clarity and enjoying it with my friends and family still makes it worth the negatives. I go see the Cleveland Orchestra often as its close and they are in top 5 in entire world IMO so its always a treat. We have season tics to Youngstown Symphony and they are surprisingly good with what I feel an under rated conductor. A great system that I and my father both enjoy for different strengths as his and mine are very different are a great substitute but still just a substitute to the real experience. As a side note my dad majored in Pipe Organ, Flute, Violinand voice and has conducted. |
Rok, you dont the Cleve is top 5 in entire world? I do and thought others did aswell. Interested in your take, considered elite at minimum! |
