Fake bi-wire with two amps
Hi everyone, I have a question about the two amps connecting to 1 pair speakers with two amps/set ups.
I have two different set ups, one is SS and the other is tube, but only one pair speakers for now. So, I am wondering can I conncet both amps to my speakers with different spekaer cable and with the jumper cable on. So when I need to use it just turn on one of the SS or TUBE amp and save sometimes from switching the speaker cables.
Don't know if I make myself clear, just a new idear pop out for my lazy ass. If anybody have tried it, please tell yes or no, or what's gonna happened to the speakers like impedence change, sound characteristic change, anything

@steve59 bingo, totally correct, without a switch box. I don't trust the switch box, the build quality and material will effect the sound quality and characteristic for sure. I can underdtand the speaker cable conncected become a capacitor with very low capacitance. But other then that, it will drained power even with a open circuit (the tuerned off amp) ? @russ69 thanks, but as I said above, I don't trust switch box, just don't like it. And I have two complete setups, from the dac to amp. |
@wbs seems like nobody interested in answering this question. Ask before I do it cause I don't want what @tony1954 said happened. @tony1954 i didnot see any connection between my question and the Russian Roulette. But anyway, let's see if my next post gonna be how to repair or not. At least it's gonna be some funny experience in my hifi journey. There's always some new ''idea'' pop out isn't it |
