Yes! For a variety of reasons I ended up getting Class D amplifier kits for a ridiculous price. Around $250 per 250W/Ch amplifier.

Fantastic sounding even at full price. At the prices I paid they were a complete steal.

Best,

E
A buck a watt is stupid cheap. Who manufactures those modules? TI?
JBL Studio 530 speakers - Stupid good sounding but stupid ugly as well. People will comment that they look like vaginas, Batman’s speakers, etc.

Gemtune APPJ PA1501A - Think mini watt on Andro. Those 3.5 watts embarrass my solid state amps in just about every category except for power output.
seanheis, which Gemtune 1501 do you have, the one with 6bq5's or the 6AD10's?

6AD10.
My last 2 purchases have been among my favorite stupid-good buys:

APPJ PA0901A - $190
Fleawatt Audio TPA3116D2 - $250

The sound quality at this price point is just ridiculous.
How would you compare the fleawatt to the APPJ?
They are going to start selling a DI version with Scanspeak drivers. I don't think that it will be a lot better and certainly not as stupid good for the money.
LOL Neal. They are pretty decent at $300, especially the fit and finish for that price point.
Caintuck Audio's Betsy open baffle paired with a Musical Paradise MP-301 MK3 SEP amp is pretty stupid good. Add in a Chromecast Audio & Schiit DAC for a killer sub 1k system.
I found another budget gem. The small and light weight Rega RS1 bookshelf speaker.

Its not picky at all about placement and sounds much bigger than the BBC types of monitors. Mine sits on a bookshelf not far from the wall and it sounds brilliant for any price.
