Man, that stinks. I was thinking of grabbing a Steelhead later this year. Guess that’s out. Back to the drawing board.
EveAnna has sold her biz
Ralph Karsten has been vocal as to the uncertain future of tube gear. This is a punch to the gut. My totally unsupported hunch is that EveAnna has the same concerns. I always wanted to have one of Manley's 300B amps. I don't know now. I am a very happy owner of a Steelhead phono stage for ten years. Eventually the outboard power supply will fail (they always do) and I may be without the ability to have it serviced if this new owner ends up closing shop.

so many strange responses here… maybe she just got burned out after 36 ? years and wanted a payout and to do other things? Maybe the company is absolutely going to continue in good hands and maybe anyone who's thinking of purchasing Manley Gear should just do it
ton of projections onto this situation. I don't think that's very smart |
@herman I can’t imagine the current environment *not* contributing to her decision to sell, but I also have to wonder how the new owner expects to deal with it (other than position the company for a resale to PE...is that the buyer’s MO?). |
