In my system (Atma-Sphere, Sound Lab, Eversolo), I'm using Ethernet cables made by the French company MissingBond, which are outstanding and relatively inexpensive. Previously, I was using the AudioQuest Diamond (€1500), but I find the MissingBond Ethernet cable sound actualy MUCH better for much less oney (€300 new). Replacing standard inexpensive cables with properly shielded Ethernet and USB cables dramatically improved all aspects of the sound in my system. You do not have to invest fortune in cables, just be smart, ask around and read reviews. For many years I was sceptical about cables, but now I realy do not ignore any more the importance of these links.
Ethernet cables
So I've been streaming for just over a year (I'm really an analog guy, listen about 75% to my TT set-up). Been listening to Roon/QoBuz via my MacBook Pro thru a Bricasti. The Bricasti is hooked-up via a Ethernet cable to an Xfinity "POD" which works well. Yesterday got in a Roon Nucleus and what a great sonic improvement! Very happy. But here's the question. I'm using a very good Ethernet cable from the Bricasti to POD but how important is the Ethernet cable from the Nucleus to the switch? Personally I haven't done much comparisons with Ethernet cables.
