Equivalent or better

Thinking towards the future, I have an old ARC CL-60 tube amp that I’m sure will one day crap out on me and require expensive repairs. Assuming the price to fix begins to question whether not to buy new (or used), if  I wanted to replace that amp today what would be the minimum I would have to buy to equal what I have sonically with today’s new equipment. When I say minimum I mean dollarwise and component wise.  Understand I have no option to go and listen to anything very easily so items I could easily order over the Internet and return if I didn’t like them would be preferable, but not absolute.

Greetings  Being an ARC dealer for many years and I personally know your amp has great Transformers and when running correctly still sounds great. That being said I would look into the affordable 4k Made in USA Quicksilver 120 monoblock amps as a great replacement. For over 25 years we have seen the trouble-free high-performance operation of Quicksilver Audio in action vs the many in vouge hyped up by nieve cub scout reviewers with fancy faceplates, metalwork, nobody home transformers, hidden identity Chinese now with tariffs, from these wannabe contenders.
