Emotiva xpa 1 monos

Any love here for xpa 1 monos? While I didn't hear a (big) difference between my Xpa 2 and my xpa 1 mono amps,I'm happy with the price to performance of these amps.I had a McIntosh mc 205 that I sold for upgrade money for better speakers. I replaced it with a Xpa 5 amp. While the McIntosh might have sounded a hair better in bass control it didn't sound 5 grand better! I think Emo xpa 1 's  are  good value!

I'm using all  Emo gen 2 amps.I thought xpa 1 's might be bright using them with B&W 805 Diamonds, but they are not.Using balanced interconnects with the monos made a noticeable difference.i noticed more of an upgrade using monos with my 805's  than I did with my Thiel 3.7 's on an upstairs system?I would have thought the opposite?Im  happy with these amps but time will tell how they last in the long haul?
I have noticed more of a difference changing preamps other  than amplifiers in my systems. Some things work together and some don't!When I used xpa 1 's with my Thiel 3.7's ,I had a few friends (with  real expensive systems)tell me they couldn't believe the sound I was achieving with the Emos!I cannot have the best of everything,or would I choose  too!I would recommend these amps and say buy the best speakers you can afford!
Spirialling costs for marginal improvements just doesn't make sense to me anymore!Im going to get the most out of the Xpa-1 monos and have a Coke and a smile!👍
Yes the xpa-1 amps are nice! The only complaint so far are the wide spread speaker posts. The posts are way to far apart for most wires!
One of the better reviews of the original xpa -1 amp is called Ryan's Banter.I enjoyed the honest and tell it like it is type of review of these amps.No more sales at Emotiva anymore and prices are going up!I still believe in buy the best speakers you can!
